Services / Custom software

Software shaped around the work.

We’re an AI-native development studio in Edmonton. We design and build web applications, mobile products, and business tools.

01 / Project fit

Start with a problem people can describe.

You might be replacing a spreadsheet-based workflow, connecting systems that don’t share information, or turning a product idea into software people can use. Custom development is worth considering when the important parts of that work do not fit an existing tool.

Bring the current process, who uses it, and where it breaks down. An early conversation should establish whether new software is needed and what a useful first version would do.

02 / What we build

The interface and the systems behind it.

Our work includes product design, browser-based applications, mobile interfaces and the backend connections they need. The scope might cover a staff workspace, a customer-facing flow, or an integration with an existing service.

Our own products show two different contexts: Cairn connects casework and learning management, while TransLocale connects translation review with app delivery.

03 / How we work

Make the decisions visible.

We use AI to explore ideas, prototype interfaces, and support development. We remain responsible for design choices, code review and testing. The tools help us work; they do not decide what your product should be.

A prototype gives us something concrete to discuss before expanding the build. Workflows, error states and access requirements belong in that conversation alongside the screens.

04 / Before we begin

Agree what the project includes.

Useful scoping details include the people using the software, existing systems, data requirements, budget and timing. Hosting, handover and ongoing support should be agreed as part of the project, so the responsibilities after launch are clear.

You do not need a finished specification to get in touch. A description of the problem and the tools you use today is a good starting point.
